Yes, it's absolutely a thing! To celebrate this year's World Gin Day we have lined up a week long celebration of gin.
First up we have a Gin Tasting Evening, hosted by the Gin Boss himself, Leon Dalloway, founder of The Gin Journey. Taking place from 6.30pm on Thursday 9th June, this two hour gin tasting session will be curated by Leon, who will be joined by Unexpected Guest and Gertrude, their VW mobile gin distillery. For only $20, you'll get to taste four top level gins, hear how gin was created and enjoy some gin-induced banter.
On Friday night we have live music with Alex Partridge from 7pm. Our Live Music Fridays are supported by Mountain Goat, not only do they make great beer, but their gins are outstanding too. Their Hopped Gin & Tonic will be on special all night for only $10, plus you should also try their Battleship Gin, but go easy, it's 58% ABV!!
On World Gin Day itself, Saturday 11th June, we'll be celebrating by taking you on a Gin Flight around the World. For $19 you get to try 3 different gins from our extensive range of over 80 gins, paired with a Long Rays Tonic and garnishes you'll get to sample the distinctive differences each gin has to offer, and find your favourite.
